महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-112, verse-64

सोमकांश्च रणे भीष्मो जघ्ने पार्थपदानुगान् ।
न्यवारयत सैन्यं च पाण्डवानां महारथः ॥६४॥
64. somakāṁśca raṇe bhīṣmo jaghne pārthapadānugān ,
nyavārayata sainyaṁ ca pāṇḍavānāṁ mahārathaḥ.
64. somakān ca raṇe bhīṣmaḥ jaghne pārthapadānugān
nyavārayat sainyam ca pāṇḍavānām mahārathaḥ
64. bhīṣmaḥ mahārathaḥ raṇe somakān pārthapadānugān
ca jaghne ca pāṇḍavānām sainyaṃ nyavārayat
64. And Bhishma, the great chariot warrior (maharatha), slew the Somakas and those who followed Pārtha (Arjuna) in battle; he also checked the army of the Pāṇḍavas.
