महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-112, verse-100

उष्णार्तो हि नरो यद्वज्जलधाराः प्रतीच्छति ।
तथा जग्राह गाङ्गेयः शरधाराः शिखण्डिनः ॥१००॥
100. uṣṇārto hi naro yadvajjaladhārāḥ pratīcchati ,
tathā jagrāha gāṅgeyaḥ śaradhārāḥ śikhaṇḍinaḥ.

100. Indeed, just as a man suffering from heat eagerly welcomes showers of water, so too did the son of Ganga (Bhishma) receive the showers of arrows from Shikhandi.
