महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-112, verse-128

रथनेमिनिकृत्ताश्च गजैश्चैवावपोथिताः ।
पादाताश्चाप्यदृश्यन्त साश्वाः सहयसादिनः ॥१२८॥
128. rathaneminikṛttāśca gajaiścaivāvapothitāḥ ,
pādātāścāpyadṛśyanta sāśvāḥ sahayasādinaḥ.

128. Foot soldiers, along with their horses and horsemen, were also seen, some cut down by chariot wheels and others crushed by elephants.
