महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-80, verse-98

रेणुकायाश्च तत्रैव तीर्थं देवनिषेवितम् ।
तत्र स्नात्वा भवेद्विप्रो विमलश्चन्द्रमा यथा ॥९८॥
98. reṇukāyāśca tatraiva tīrthaṁ devaniṣevitam ,
tatra snātvā bhavedvipro vimalaścandramā yathā.
98. reṇukāyāḥ ca tatra eva tīrtham devaniṣevitam
tatra snātvā bhavet vipraḥ vimalaḥ candramā yathā
98. And there, at that very spot, is also a sacred ford (tīrtha) of Reṇukā, frequented by gods. A Brahmin who bathes there becomes as pure as the moon.
