महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-80, verse-91

जित्वा यत्र महाप्राज्ञ विष्णुना प्रभविष्णुना ।
पुरा शौचं कृतं राजन्हत्वा दैवतकण्टकान् ॥९१॥
91. jitvā yatra mahāprājña viṣṇunā prabhaviṣṇunā ,
purā śaucaṁ kṛtaṁ rājanhatvā daivatakaṇṭakān.

91. O great sage (mahāprājña), it is here where purification was formerly performed by the mighty Viṣṇu, after he had slain the enemies of the gods.
