महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-80, verse-34

ऋषिभिः क्रतवः प्रोक्ता वेदेष्विह यथाक्रमम् ।
फलं चैव यथातत्त्वं प्रेत्य चेह च सर्वशः ॥३४॥
34. ṛṣibhiḥ kratavaḥ proktā vedeṣviha yathākramam ,
phalaṁ caiva yathātattvaṁ pretya ceha ca sarvaśaḥ.
34. ṛṣibhiḥ kratavaḥ proktāḥ vedeṣu iha yathākramam
phalam ca eva yathātattvam pretya ca iha ca sarvaśaḥ
34. The sages (ṛṣi) have declared the sacrificial rites (kratu) in the Vedas, here, in due order. And indeed, their results, precisely as they are, are obtained both in this world and in the afterlife, in every respect.
