महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-80, verse-38

ऋषीणां परमं गुह्यमिदं भरतसत्तम ।
तीर्थाभिगमनं पुण्यं यज्ञैरपि विशिष्यते ॥३८॥
38. ṛṣīṇāṁ paramaṁ guhyamidaṁ bharatasattama ,
tīrthābhigamanaṁ puṇyaṁ yajñairapi viśiṣyate.
38. ṛṣīṇām paramam guhyam idam bharatasattama
tīrtha-abhigamanam puṇyam yajñaiḥ api viśiṣyate
38. O best of the Bharatas, this is the supreme secret of the sages (ṛṣi): visiting holy places (tīrtha-abhigamanam) is meritorious and excels even sacrificial performances (yajña).
