महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-80, verse-80

त्रिरात्रमुषितस्तत्र तर्पयेत्पितृदेवताः ।
प्रभासते यथा सोमो अश्वमेधं च विन्दति ॥८०॥
80. trirātramuṣitastatra tarpayetpitṛdevatāḥ ,
prabhāsate yathā somo aśvamedhaṁ ca vindati.

80. Having resided there for three nights, one should satisfy the ancestors and deities. He shines like the moon and obtains the fruit of an horse sacrifice (aśvamedha).
