महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-80, verse-64

शाकवृत्तिः फलैर्वापि कौमारं विन्दते पदम् ।
कण्वाश्रमं समासाद्य श्रीजुष्टं लोकपूजितम् ॥६४॥
64. śākavṛttiḥ phalairvāpi kaumāraṁ vindate padam ,
kaṇvāśramaṁ samāsādya śrījuṣṭaṁ lokapūjitam.
64. śākavṛttiḥ phalaiḥ vā api kaumāram vindate padam
kaṇvāśramam samāsādya śrījuṣṭam lokapūjitam
64. One who subsists on vegetables or even fruits, having reached Kanva's hermitage — which is endowed with prosperity and revered by all people — attains the status of Kumāra (kaumāram padam).
