महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-80, verse-116

ततो गच्छेत धर्मज्ञ दीर्घसत्रं यथाक्रमम् ।
यत्र ब्रह्मादयो देवाः सिद्धाश्च परमर्षयः ।
दीर्घसत्रमुपासन्ते दक्षिणाभिर्यतव्रताः ॥११६॥
116. tato gaccheta dharmajña dīrghasatraṁ yathākramam ,
yatra brahmādayo devāḥ siddhāśca paramarṣayaḥ ,
dīrghasatramupāsante dakṣiṇābhiryatavratāḥ.

Thereafter, O knower of natural law (dharma), one should proceed in due order to the 'long session' (dīrghasatra), where Brahmā and other gods, along with the Siddhas and great sages, who are disciplined in their vows, regularly perform this protracted Vedic ritual (dīrghasatra) with proper ritual fees.
