महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-110, verse-64

यस्तु पक्षे गते भुङ्क्ते एकभक्तं जितेन्द्रियः ।
सदा द्वादश मासांस्तु जुह्वानो जातवेदसम् ।
राजसूयसहस्रस्य फलं प्राप्नोत्यनुत्तमम् ॥६४॥
64. yastu pakṣe gate bhuṅkte ekabhaktaṁ jitendriyaḥ ,
sadā dvādaśa māsāṁstu juhvāno jātavedasam ,
rājasūyasahasrasya phalaṁ prāpnotyanuttamam.

64. But the one who, having controlled his senses, partakes of a single meal after a fortnight has passed, and who always performs a `Vedic fire ritual` (homa) to Agni for twelve months, attains the unsurpassed fruit of a thousand `rājasūya` rituals.
