महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-107, verse-84

पिप्पलं च वटं चैव शणशाकं तथैव च ।
उदुम्बरं न खादेच्च भवार्थी पुरुषोत्तमः ॥८४॥
84. pippalaṁ ca vaṭaṁ caiva śaṇaśākaṁ tathaiva ca ,
udumbaraṁ na khādecca bhavārthī puruṣottamaḥ.

84. A superior man (puruṣottama) who desires welfare should not eat pippala (holy fig), vaṭa (banyan), hemp-greens, or udumbara (cluster fig).
