रक्तमाल्यं न धार्यं स्याच्छुक्लं धार्यं तु पण्डितैः ।
वर्जयित्वा तु कमलं तथा कुवलयं विभो ॥७६॥

varjayitvā tu kamalaṁ tathā kuvalayaṁ vibho.

76. Red garlands should not be worn, but white ones should be worn by the wise. This rule, however, excludes the lotus and the blue water lily, O lord.
