पञ्चमे दिवसे नारी षष्ठेऽहनि पुमान्भवेत् ।
एतेन विधिना पत्नीमुपगच्छेत पण्डितः ॥१४३॥

143. On the fifth day (after menstruation), a female child may be conceived, and on the sixth day, a male child. A discerning person should approach his wife according to this prescribed method.
