महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-107, verse-128

महाकुले निवेष्टव्यं सदृशे वा युधिष्ठिर ।
अवरा पतिता चैव न ग्राह्या भूतिमिच्छता ॥१२८॥
128. mahākule niveṣṭavyaṁ sadṛśe vā yudhiṣṭhira ,
avarā patitā caiva na grāhyā bhūtimicchatā.

avarā patitā ca eva na grāhyā bhūtim icchatā
128. yudhiṣṭhira (nārī) mahākule vā sadṛśe (kule) niveṣṭavyam

128. One should marry into a noble family or one of equal standing, O Yudhiṣṭhira. An inferior or degraded (patitā) woman should not be accepted by one who desires prosperity.
