अकृत्वा देवतापूजां नान्यं गच्छेत्कदाचन ।
अन्यत्र तु गुरुं वृद्धं धार्मिकं वा विचक्षणम् ॥७०॥

70. akṛtvā devatāpūjāṁ nānyaṁ gacchetkadācana ,
anyatra tu guruṁ vṛddhaṁ dhārmikaṁ vā vicakṣaṇam.

70. Without first performing the worship of deities, one should never go anywhere else, except, however, to a teacher (guru), an elder, a righteous person (dhārmika), or a wise person.
