महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-107, verse-146

आचारो भूतिजनन आचारः कीर्तिवर्धनः ।
आचाराद्वर्धते ह्यायुराचारो हन्त्यलक्षणम् ॥१४६॥
146. ācāro bhūtijanana ācāraḥ kīrtivardhanaḥ ,
ācārādvardhate hyāyurācāro hantyalakṣaṇam.
