महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-107, verse-131

अनायुष्यो दिवास्वप्नस्तथाभ्युदितशायिता ।
प्रातर्निशायां च तथा ये चोच्छिष्टाः स्वपन्ति वै ॥१३१॥
131. anāyuṣyo divāsvapnastathābhyuditaśāyitā ,
prātarniśāyāṁ ca tathā ye cocchiṣṭāḥ svapanti vai.
131. anāyuṣyaḥ divāsvapnaḥ tathā abhyuditaśāyitā prātaḥ
niśāyām ca tathā ye ca ucchiṣṭāḥ svapanti vai
131. divāsvapnaḥ tathā abhyuditaśāyitā anāyuṣyaḥ [bhavet].
tathā ca ye prātaḥ ca niśāyām ucchiṣṭāḥ vai svapanti [te api anāyuṣyāḥ bhavanti].
131. Daytime sleep, and likewise sleeping until after sunrise, is detrimental to longevity. Similarly, those who sleep at dawn or at night while in a state of ritual impurity from having eaten (ucchiṣṭa) also shorten their life.
