महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-107, verse-47

सम्यङ्मिथ्याप्रवृत्तेऽपि वर्तितव्यं गुराविह ।
गुरुनिन्दा दहत्यायुर्मनुष्याणां न संशयः ॥४७॥
47. samyaṅmithyāpravṛtte'pi vartitavyaṁ gurāviha ,
gurunindā dahatyāyurmanuṣyāṇāṁ na saṁśayaḥ.
47. samyak mithyā-pravṛtte api vartitavyam gurau iha
| guru-nindā dahati āyuḥ manuṣyāṇām na saṃśayaḥ
47. Even if a teacher (guru) behaves wrongly, one should still act properly towards him in this world. There is no doubt that criticism of a teacher (guru) diminishes the lifespan of human beings.
