स तान्यनीकानि महाधनुष्माञ्शिनिप्रवीरः सहसाभिपत्य ।
चकार साहाय्यमथार्जुनस्य विष्णुर्यथा वृत्रनिषूदनस्य ॥७७॥

77. sa tānyanīkāni mahādhanuṣmā;ñśinipravīraḥ sahasābhipatya ,

77. mahādhanuṣmān śinipravīraḥ saḥ sahasā tāni anīkāni abhipatya atha arjunasya sāhāyyam cakāra,
yathā viṣṇuḥ vṛtraniṣūdanasya (cakāra).

77. The great bowman, the chief of the Śinis (Sātyaki), swiftly attacked those armies and then provided assistance to Arjuna, just as Viṣṇu helped the slayer of Vṛtra (Indra).
