महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-55, verse-16

विनिर्भिन्नाः शरैः केचिदन्तपीडाविकर्षिणः ।
अभीताः समरे शत्रूनभ्यधावन्त दंशिताः ॥१६॥
16. vinirbhinnāḥ śaraiḥ kecidantapīḍāvikarṣiṇaḥ ,
abhītāḥ samare śatrūnabhyadhāvanta daṁśitāḥ.

16. Some warriors, though pierced by arrows and pulling out those causing inner agony, remained unafraid and armored as they charged towards the enemies in battle.
