महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-40, verse-7

ततो दुर्योधनः क्रुद्धो नकुलं नवभिः शरैः ।
विव्याध भरतश्रेष्ठ चतुरश्चास्य वाजिनः ॥७॥
7. tato duryodhanaḥ kruddho nakulaṁ navabhiḥ śaraiḥ ,
vivyādha bharataśreṣṭha caturaścāsya vājinaḥ.

vivyādha bharataśreṣṭha caturaḥ ca asya vājinaḥ
7. bharataśreṣṭha tataḥ kruddhaḥ duryodhanaḥ navabhiḥ
śaraiḥ nakulam asya ca caturaḥ vājinaḥ vivyādha
7. Then, O best of the Bharatas, enraged Duryodhana pierced Nakula with nine arrows, and also (pierced) four of his horses.
