महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-61, verse-59

अब्भक्षैर्वायुभक्षैश्च पत्राहारैस्तथैव च ।
जितेन्द्रियैर्महाभागैः स्वर्गमार्गदिदृक्षुभिः ॥५९॥
59. abbhakṣairvāyubhakṣaiśca patrāhāraistathaiva ca ,
jitendriyairmahābhāgaiḥ svargamārgadidṛkṣubhiḥ.
59. abbhakṣaiḥ vāyubhakṣaiḥ ca patrāhāraiḥ tathā eva
ca jitendriyaiḥ mahābhāgaiḥ svargamārgadidṛkṣubhiḥ
59. It was graced by ascetics who subsisted on water, on air, and also on leaves; they had conquered their senses, were greatly virtuous, and yearned to see the path to heaven.
