मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-5, verse-89

वृथासङ्करजातानां प्रव्रज्यासु च तिष्ठताम
आत्मनस्त्यागिनां चैव निवर्तेतोदकक्रिया ॥८९॥
89. vṛthāsaṅkarajātānāṁ pravrajyāsu ca tiṣṭhatām
ātmanastyāgināṁ caiva nivartetodakakriyā.

ātmanaḥ tyāginām ca eva nivarteta udaka-kriyā
89. For those born of mixed castes, those who adopt the life of renunciation, and those who have renounced their self (ātman), the ritual of offering water ceases.
