मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-5, verse-154

विशीलः कामवृत्तो वा गुणैर्वा परिवर्जितः ।
उपचार्यः स्त्रिया साध्व्या सततं देववत पतिः ॥१५४॥
154. viśīlaḥ kāmavṛtto vā guṇairvā parivarjitaḥ ,
upacāryaḥ striyā sādhvyā satataṁ devavat patiḥ.

154. The husband, even if vicious, or acting according to his desires, or devoid of qualities, should always be worshipped by a virtuous wife as if he were a god.
