मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-5, verse-71

सब्रह्मचारिण्येकाहमतीते क्षपणं स्मृतम ।
जन्मन्येकौदकानां तु त्रिरात्रात्शुद्धिरिष्यते ॥७१॥
71. sabrahmacāriṇyekāhamatīte kṣapaṇaṁ smṛtam ,
janmanyekaudakānāṁ tu trirātrātśuddhiriṣyate.
71. sa brahmapāṇye kam atīte kṣapaṇam smṛtam
janmani ekodakānām tu trirātrāt śuddhiḥ iṣyate
71. For one who was a fellow student of the deceased, purity is attained after one day, after the expiration of one day. But for those who offer one-year oblations (ekodaka), purification is desired after three days.
