महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-192, verse-58

संश्रुतं च मया पूर्वं ददानीत्यविचारितम् ।
तद्गृह्णीष्वाविचारेण यदि सत्ये स्थितो भवान् ॥५८॥

58. saṁśrutaṁ ca mayā pūrvaṁ dadānītyavicāritam ,
tadgṛhṇīṣvāvicāreṇa yadi satye sthito bhavān.

tat gṛhṇīṣva avicāreṇa yadi satye sthitaḥ bhavān

58. mayā pūrvam avicāritam "dadāmi" iti ca samśrutam yadi bhavān satye sthitaḥ,

58. Indeed, I had previously promised, 'I will give,' without much thought. Therefore, accept it without hesitation, if you are steadfast in truth (satya).
