क्षत्रियोऽहं न जानामि देहीति वचनं क्वचित् ।
प्रयच्छ युद्धमित्येवं वादिनः स्मो द्विजोत्तम ॥४१॥

41. rājovāca ,
kṣatriyo'haṁ na jānāmi dehīti vacanaṁ kvacit ,
prayaccha yuddhamityevaṁ vādinaḥ smo dvijottama.

rājā uvāca | kṣatriyaḥ aham na jānāmi dehi iti vacanam

The king said: "O best of brahmins, I am a warrior (kṣatriya), and I do not know the word 'give!' [in the sense of begging] anywhere. Rather, we are those who say, 'Give battle!'"
