महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-326, verse-34

न विना धातुसंघातं शरीरं भवति क्वचित् ।
न च जीवं विना ब्रह्मन्धातवश्चेष्टयन्त्युत ॥३४॥
34. na vinā dhātusaṁghātaṁ śarīraṁ bhavati kvacit ,
na ca jīvaṁ vinā brahmandhātavaśceṣṭayantyuta.
34. na vinā dhātusaṃghātam śarīram bhavati kvacit na
ca jīvam vinā brahman dhātavaḥ ceṣṭayanti uta
34. śarīram dhātusaṃghātam vinā na bhavati kvacit ca
brahman jīvam vinā dhātavaḥ na ceṣṭayanti uta
34. Never does a body exist without a combination of fundamental elements. And never, O brahmana, do the elements move without a living being (jīva).
