महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-13, verse-60

शाश्वतोऽयं धर्मपथः सद्भिराचरितः सदा ।
यद्भार्यां परिरक्षन्ति भर्तारोऽल्पबला अपि ॥६०॥
60. śāśvato'yaṁ dharmapathaḥ sadbhirācaritaḥ sadā ,
yadbhāryāṁ parirakṣanti bhartāro'lpabalā api.
60. śāśvataḥ ayam dharmapathaḥ sadbhiḥ ācaritaḥ sadā
yat bhāryām parirakṣanti bhartāraḥ alpabalāḥ api
60. This is the eternal path of natural law (dharma-patha), always observed by good people: that husbands protect their wives, even those of little strength.
