मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-51, verse-90

तमः प्रच्छादकश्चान्यस्तत्स्वरूपं शृणुष्व मे ।
प्रदीपदैलसंसर्गदूषिते लङ्घिते खले ॥९०॥
90. tamaḥ pracchādakaścānyastatsvarūpaṃ śṛṇuṣva me .
pradīpadailasaṃsargadūṣite laṅghite khale.
90. tamaḥ prac-cchādakaḥ ca anyaḥ tat-svarūpam śṛṇuṣva

90. Listen to me about the true nature of another force that conceals darkness (ignorance). (This manifests) in a threshing floor that has been defiled by contact with lamp-oil and stepped upon.
