मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-51, verse-69

एतेषामेव चैवोक्ता भूताः पापोपपादने ।
तस्माच्छ्येनादयो यस्य निलीयेयुः शिरस्यथ ॥६९॥
69. eteṣāmeva caivoktā bhūtāḥ pāpopapādane .
tasmācchyenādayo yasya nilīyeyuḥ śirasyatha.
69. एतेषाम् एव च एव उक्ताः भूताः पाप-उपपादने
तस्मात् श्येन-आदयः यस्य निलीयेयुः शिरसि अथ
69. Indeed, these very beings (birds) are said to be engaged in causing evil. Therefore, if falcons and other such birds alight on someone's head, then (a certain ill omen occurs).
