मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-51, verse-82

क्षेत्रेष्वनुप्रवेशं वै करोत्यन्तोपसङ्गिषु ।
तस्मात् कल्पः सुप्रशस्ते दिनेऽभ्यर्च्य निशाकरम् ॥८२॥
82. kṣetreṣvanupraveśaṃ vai karotyantopasaṅgiṣu .
tasmāt kalpaḥ supraśaste dine'bhyarcya niśākaram.

tasmāt kalpaḥ supraśaste dine abhyarcya niśākaram
82. Indeed, one makes an entry into specific domains (kṣetra) that are connected with their ultimate results. Therefore, according to the proper procedure (kalpa), on a very auspicious day, one should worship the moon.
