मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-51, verse-19

सर्वारम्भान् कुमारोऽत्ति शस्ताताञ्चानसूयताम् ।
विप्रोक्त्या देवतास्तुत्या मूलोत्खातेन च द्विज ॥१९॥

19. O twice-born (dvija), (the astrological influence of) Kumāra consumes all undertakings, and even excellence and freedom from envy. (However, one can overcome these effects) through the pronouncements of Brahmins, the praise of deities, and by uprooting (the malefic influence).
