मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-51, verse-86

अनर्थञ्चार्थरूपेण मोक्षञ्चामोक्षरूपिणम् ।
दुर्विनीता विना शौचं दर्शयन्ति पृथङ्नरान् ॥८६॥
86. anarthañcārtharūpeṇa mokṣañcāmokṣarūpiṇam .
durvinītā vinā śaucaṃ darśayanti pṛthaṅnarān.
86. anartham ca artharūpeṇa mokṣam ca amokṣarūpiṇam
durvinītāḥ vinā śaucam darśayanti pṛthak narān
86. Undisciplined people, devoid of purity, present what is detrimental as beneficial, and liberation (mokṣa) as its opposite, to various individuals.
