मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-51, verse-80

रुदमानां निशीथेऽथ आविशेत्तामसौ स्त्रियम् ।
शस्यहन्तुस्तथैवैकः क्षुद्रको नाम नामतः ॥८०॥
80. rudamānāṃ niśīthe'tha āviśettāmasau striyam .
śasyahantustathaivaikaḥ kṣudrako nāma nāmataḥ.
80. rudamānām niśīthe atha āviśet tāmasaḥ striyam |
śasyahantuḥ tathā eva ekaḥ kṣudrakaḥ nāma nāmataḥ
80. Then, the tāmasa (spirit) enters that woman who is crying in the middle of the night. Similarly, there is one [spirit] called Kṣudraka by name, who is a destroyer of crops.
