मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-51, verse-23

विशुद्धगेहावसथादनायासाच्च वै द्विज ।
तथैव सस्यहा चान्यः सस्यर्धिमुपहन्ति यः ॥२३॥
23. viśuddhagehāvasathādanāyāsācca vai dvija .
tathaiva sasyahā cānyaḥ sasyardhimupahanti yaḥ.
23. viśuddhagehāvasathāt anāyāsāt ca vai dvija tathā
eva sasyahā ca anyaḥ sasyardhim upahanti yaḥ
23. And indeed, O twice-born (dvija), protection is also achieved by residing in a pure dwelling and through effortless means. Similarly, another individual who harms the abundance of crops is a crop-destroyer.
