महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-165, verse-72

क्षुत्पिपासापरिश्रान्तास्ते योधास्तव भारत ।
आदित्येन च संतप्ता भृशं विमनसोऽभवन् ॥७२॥
72. kṣutpipāsāpariśrāntāste yodhāstava bhārata ,
ādityena ca saṁtaptā bhṛśaṁ vimanaso'bhavan.

72. O Bhārata, your warriors, utterly exhausted by hunger and thirst, and greatly tormented by the sun, became extremely disheartened.
