महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-165, verse-21

संरब्धश्च शरानस्यन्द्रोणं दुर्वारणं रणे ।
विवारयिषुराचार्यं शरवर्षैरवाकिरत् ॥२१॥
21. saṁrabdhaśca śarānasyandroṇaṁ durvāraṇaṁ raṇe ,
vivārayiṣurācāryaṁ śaravarṣairavākirat.

21. And enraged, desiring to check the preceptor, he showered Drona, who was difficult to repel in battle, with volleys of arrows, continuously shooting them.
