महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-165, verse-56

द्रोणस्तु दिवमास्थाय नक्षत्रपथमाविशत् ।
अहमेव तदाद्राक्षं द्रोणस्य निधनं नृप ॥५६॥
56. droṇastu divamāsthāya nakṣatrapathamāviśat ,
ahameva tadādrākṣaṁ droṇasya nidhanaṁ nṛpa.
56. droṇaḥ tu divam āsthāya nakṣatrapatham āviśat
aham eva tadā adrākṣam droṇasya nidhanam nṛpa
56. nṛpa tu droṇaḥ divam āsthāya nakṣatrapatham
āviśat tadā aham eva droṇasya nidhanam adrākṣam
56. But Droṇa, ascending to the heavens, entered the path of the stars. O king, I myself then witnessed Droṇa's demise.
