महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-186, verse-72

वर्षमाणा महत्तोयं पूरयन्तो वसुंधराम् ।
सुघोरमशिवं रौद्रं नाशयन्ति च पावकम् ॥७२॥
72. varṣamāṇā mahattoyaṁ pūrayanto vasuṁdharām ,
sughoramaśivaṁ raudraṁ nāśayanti ca pāvakam.
72. varṣamāṇāḥ mahat toyam pūrayantaḥ vasundharām
sughoram aśivam raudram nāśayanti ca pāvakam
72. Raining abundant water and flooding the earth, they also extinguish the intensely dreadful, inauspicious, and terrifying fire.
