महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-186, verse-22

क्षीणे कलियुगे चैव प्रवर्तति कृतं युगम् ।
एषा द्वादशसाहस्री युगाख्या परिकीर्तिता ॥२२॥
22. kṣīṇe kaliyuge caiva pravartati kṛtaṁ yugam ,
eṣā dvādaśasāhasrī yugākhyā parikīrtitā.

22. When the Kali Yuga diminishes, the Kṛta Yuga indeed commences. This twelve-thousand-year period is declared to be known as 'Yuga'.
