महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-186, verse-47

धर्मिष्ठाः परिहीयन्ते पापीयान्वर्धते जनः ।
धर्मस्य बलहानिः स्यादधर्मश्च बली तथा ॥४७॥
47. dharmiṣṭhāḥ parihīyante pāpīyānvardhate janaḥ ,
dharmasya balahāniḥ syādadharmaśca balī tathā.

47. Those who are most committed to natural law (dharma) dwindle, while the more sinful person prospers. There would be a weakening of natural law (dharma), and thus unrighteousness (adharma) would become powerful.
