मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
हन्त ते कथयिष्यामि नमस्कृत्वा स्वयम्भुवे ।
पुरुषाय पुराणाय शाश्वतायाव्ययाय च ॥१३॥

13. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca ,
hanta te kathayiṣyāmi namaskṛtvā svayambhuve ,
puruṣāya purāṇāya śāśvatāyāvyayāya ca.

13. Mārkaṇḍeya said: "Indeed, I will tell you, after first bowing to the Self-existent One, the ancient (purāṇa) cosmic person (puruṣa), the eternal, and the imperishable."

13. מָארְקַנְדֵיַה אמר, אכן, אספר לך, לאחר שאכרע בהשתחוויה לבורא העצמי סְוַיַמְבְּהוּ, לאדם הקוסמי הקדמון, הנצחי והבלתי נכחד.
