महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-186, verse-126

इच्छामि पुण्डरीकाक्ष ज्ञातुं त्वाहमनिन्दित ।
इह भूत्वा शिशुः साक्षात्किं भवानवतिष्ठते ।
पीत्वा जगदिदं विश्वमेतदाख्यातुमर्हसि ॥१२६॥
126. icchāmi puṇḍarīkākṣa jñātuṁ tvāhamanindita ,
iha bhūtvā śiśuḥ sākṣātkiṁ bhavānavatiṣṭhate ,
pītvā jagadidaṁ viśvametadākhyātumarhasi.
126. icchāmi puṇḍarīkākṣa jñātum tvā aham
anindita iha bhūtvā śiśuḥ sākṣāt
kim bhavān avatiṣṭhate pītvā jagat
idam viśvam etat ākhyātum arhasi
126. O faultless one, O lotus-eyed one, I wish to know you. Why do you remain here, having directly manifested as a child? Having swallowed this entire universe, you should explain this to me.
