नैके युगसहस्रान्तास्त्वया दृष्टा महामुने ।
न चापीह समः कश्चिदायुषा तव विद्यते ।
वर्जयित्वा महात्मानं ब्राह्मणं परमेष्ठिनम् ॥२॥

2. naike yugasahasrāntāstvayā dṛṣṭā mahāmune ,

varjayitvā mahātmānaṁ brāhmaṇaṁ parameṣṭhinam.

O great sage (mahāmuni), you have witnessed not just a few thousands of yuga-ends. And here on Earth, no one exists with a lifespan equal to yours, except for the great-souled (mahātman) Brahmā, the Supreme Being.
