महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-186, verse-40

करभारभयात्पुंसो गृहस्थाः परिमोषकाः ।
मुनिच्छद्माकृतिच्छन्ना वाणिज्यमुपजीवते ॥४०॥
40. karabhārabhayātpuṁso gṛhasthāḥ parimoṣakāḥ ,
municchadmākṛticchannā vāṇijyamupajīvate.

muni-chadmākṛti-cchannāḥ vāṇijyam upajīvate
40. Due to fear of tax burdens (karabhārabhayāt), householders (gṛhasthāḥ) will become plunderers of men (puṃsaḥ parimoṣakāḥ). Disguised by the false appearance of ascetics (muni), they will make a living through commerce.
