महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-186, verse-57

ततस्तान्यल्पसाराणि सत्त्वानि क्षुधितानि च ।
प्रलयं यान्ति भूयिष्ठं पृथिव्यां पृथिवीपते ॥५७॥
57. tatastānyalpasārāṇi sattvāni kṣudhitāni ca ,
pralayaṁ yānti bhūyiṣṭhaṁ pṛthivyāṁ pṛthivīpate.
57. tataḥ tāni alpasārāṇi sattvāni kṣudhitāni ca
pralayaṃ yānti bhūyiṣṭhaṃ pṛthivyāṃ pṛthivīpate
57. O lord of the earth, then those weak and hungry creatures largely perish on the earth.
