मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-34, verse-92

यथाविभवतः पुत्र द्विजान् संवत्सरोषितान् ।
अर्चयेन्मधुपर्केण यथाकालमतन्द्रितः ॥९२॥
92. yathāvibhavataḥ putra dvijān saṃvatsaroṣitān .

92. O son, without laziness and at the appropriate time, one should honor Brahmins (dvija) who have resided for a year elsewhere, offering them a madhuparka, according to one's resources.
