मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-34, verse-102

ततोऽन्नाग्रं समुद्धृत्य हन्तकारोपकल्पनम् ।
यथाविधि यथान्यायं ब्राह्मणायोपपादयेत् ॥१०२॥
102. tato'nnāgraṃ samuddhṛtya hantakāropakalpanam .
yathāvidhi yathānyāyaṃ brāhmaṇāyopapādayet.
102. tataḥ annāgram samuddhṛtya hantakāropakalpanam
yathā-vidhi yathā-nyāyam brāhmaṇāya upapādayet
102. Then, having set aside the choicest portion of food, intended as the `hantakāra` offering, one should present it to a brahmin in accordance with the prescribed rules and proper procedure.
